Australien Capital Territory
Mostly attributed to housing the capital city of Canberra, the ACT has a bit more to offer like the Namadgi National Park.
I was lucky enough to spend 3 months at the Australian National University in Canberra and had the opportunity to explore the city and surrounding landscape. The reputation of being dead on the weekend when the government is closed is untrue, but the city gets nice and quiet.
